Is rdp-cli free?
Yes. Download and use it without a website account or subscription. The software is distributed under the MIT license, with notices for included third-party components.
Does it include an AI agent?
No. Your agent calls the command-line tool. rdp-cli provides remote screenshots, input, session controls and structured results; it does not choose your tasks or provide an AI model.
Will automation take over my local mouse?
The command workflow sends input directly to the remote session. It does not require a local viewer or move your local pointer. Opening or controlling a native viewer yourself is a normal local interaction.
Can I watch and interrupt?
Yes. Open the existing session from the menu bar, tray or watch command. Observe read-only, pause the input, take control, and release it when finished. The agent must respect the control state.
Can I connect from the public website?
No. This site explains and distributes the product. The product browser viewer belongs to your running session and is intended for a LAN or VPN with appropriate access grants.
Which Windows download should I choose?
Choose x64 for 64-bit Windows, or x86 for 32-bit Windows. Both downloads are signed single EXEs; no additional runtime is required.
Why can a file or audio feature be missing?
These are RDP features and depend on server policies and negotiated capabilities. VNC supports the shared desktop workflow but does not provide exchange-drive files, sound, microphone or requested display layouts.
